About Dr Cronin
Dr Drew Cronin is a Queensland-trained and fully certified Specialist Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon (FRACS (Plast)) who brings both depth of training and genuine local commitment to his practice on the Gold Coast — more than ten years in plastic surgery across specialist training and practice.
Born and raised on the Gold Coast, Dr Cronin became the region’s first locally trained Specialist Plastic Surgeon. His qualifications include a Bachelor of Biomedical Science and MBBS, followed by residency and specialist training in plastic surgery in Queensland.
He became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and a recognised Specialist Plastic Surgeon in 2019, and has been Supervisor of Training for plastic surgery trainees and registrars since 2022 — a peer-recognised teaching role within his specialty.
In addition to his role at The Coastal Clinic Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics, Dr Cronin also serves at Gold Coast University Hospital, where he conducts major head & neck, reconstructive and trauma surgery. He consults from Southport on the Gold Coast and from Nude Aesthetics in Mackay.
