During your consultation with our Surgeons

Medical History and Lifestyle Factors

During your first consultation, Dr Cronin will review your medical history including any past surgeries, medical conditions, medications, allergies, and lifestyle factors that may impact your procedure and recovery.

Discussion of Goals and Expectations

Dr Cronin will take the time to understand your aesthetic goals and what is important to you. This is an opportunity for you to discuss your concerns and desired outcomes.   Dr Cronin will provide honest and realistic insights into what can be achieved with surgery as well as the potential results, benefits, and risks associated with the procedure.

Physical assessment

During your consultation, Dr Cronin will perform a detailed physical assessment of your concerns. This may involve you removing some clothing and standing in front of a mirror to allow for a thorough evaluation.

Dr Cronin will then discuss his recommendations and develop a surgical plan tailored to your aesthetic goals.

We understand that this part of the process may feel uncomfortable, and we are committed to ensuring your comfort throughout. If you prefer to have a female staff member present during this assessment, please inform our friendly receptionist prior to your appointment.

Discussion of Surgical Plan, risks and expected outcomes

Following the evaluation, Dr Cronin will recommend a customised surgical plan tailored to your needs. This may include surgical procedures, non-surgical treatments, or a combination of both.

He will thoroughly explain the specifics of the proposed treatments, including the techniques involved, the expected duration, and the recovery process.

Additionally, a detailed discussion of the potential risks associated with the procedures will be provided to ensure you are fully informed.

Addressing Questions and Concerns

Dr Cronin encourages an open dialogue. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about the procedure, risks, benefits, and expected outcomes. Clear communication ensures that you are well-informed and comfortable with your decision.

We understand there is a lot of information for you to take in during your first consult, so you will be emailed detailed information about your procedure including risks, complications, pre-operative preparations, post-operative care, and any lifestyle adjustments needed to optimise your results.

At The Coastal Clinic, we provide exceptional surgical care and patient-centred end-to-end service to our clients on their journey to becoming the most confident, authentic version of themselves.
